Project Manager-Sepsis Canada & LifTING Training Program
Summary
Position summary
Sepsis Canada is a multi-disciplinary network committed to reducing the burden of sepsis for all Canadians through research and education. We are funded by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) in response to a World Health Organization (WHO) resolution identifying sepsis as a global health priority.
The Life-Threatening Illness National Group (LifTING) Health Research Training Program was funded by the Canadian Institute for Health Research (CIHR) to train future researchers on the knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed to engage in interdisciplinary, interprofessional, and inclusive research, which will improve the care and outcomes of patients with life-threatening illnesses.
Sepsis Canada and LifTING’s mandates intersect to include the “creation of a single, cohesive training and mentoring program in life-threatening illnesses - including sepsis - research for highly qualified personnel and patient and family partners that spans across the four pillars of health research”. Sepsis Canada and LifTING will accomplish this mandate through the design, implementation, and evaluation of a joint Interdisciplinary training program.
Dr. Patricia Fontela is leading this Sepsis Canada Interdisciplinary Training Program. In addition, she co-leads the LifTING Platform with Drs. Dominique Piquette and Denise Jaworsky. We are seeking a Project Manager to help lead the design, implementation and evaluation of the joint training programs. The Project Manager should be located in the Montreal or Toronto metropolitan area as part of a hybrid in-person and remote work environment.
